For My Wife

(This is straight up from my husband’s Valentine’s card….I thought he really was looking for the perfect message seeing that it took him about an hour to pick up this one. Reading this put a great big smile on my face and tears of happiness rolls in then I though to share it with you —maybe somewhere out there one is in need of that “just the right words” to say to their special someone.)
Love isn’t hearts and flowers,
though sweet words have their place.
It’s rainy days made sunny
by the bright smile on your face.
It’s the little daily triumphs
I can’t wait to share with you.
It’s all the random rough spots
that we help each other through.
It’s the way that you accept me—
My good points, faults, and all.
It’s knowing you support me
and feeling ten feet tall.
It’s mornings in the kitchen.
It’s cuddling up at night.
This is love. The daily stuff.
And we’ve sure got it right.
Hearts and flowers are beautiful,
but what we have day in and day out
while we’re sharing life together
…..is more beautiful still.
I love our life together…
and I love You.
